Chicago’s new hot spot is worth it - aim for Thursdays to beat the weekend rush. Go for pastries that aren’t offered elsewhere in the city, like the pain suisse and Breton style kouign aman.

I will continue to get my perfect jamon buerre at Floriole and I did enjoy the almond crossaint. The baguette was delicious, but I wouldn’t go there just for the bread.
